They are as thick as flys on a gut pile where I hunt.

The limit is 3 birds a day per person. I would suggest trying to hunt pheasants in South Dakota atleast once. You get to shoot all day, and they tast great.  Im lucky and get to hunt on my Grandpa's 800 acres.  He is surrounded by 3 pheasnt hunting lodges, and we only hunt it a couple times a year.  They push all the birds on his land a few weeks before season, and then we hunt it and have a blast.

i lived in Mi as a kid & we had phesant fairly often,i had a uncle that died this summer that use to go there every year,he was a terrible shot & i would have hated to buy his shells ,glad he used # 4 shot ,it was easier to spit them out,mike243
