Curious to know how many other of my fellow hunters and sportsmen are prior service or active duty soldiers. If so, feel free to share your branch and unit with us.
I served in the US Army Rangers with the 101st Airborne/Air Assault Division from 1991 to 1995. Joined a voluteer group there (so I could keep jump status) called the Long Range Surveillance Detactment. Similar mission as the Pathfinders, Special Forces, and Marine Recon groups. Dropped in behind enemy lines and spy on them. Report back strengths and numbers. Also did Search and Rescue. |

Nice to see some fellow veterans here. Seems we might be a minority ! Usually the site picks up more with the start of deer season approaching. But I'm just not seeing it here at all. Too bad.... |

Hi guys......A company Signal,82nd Airborne Division,77 to 80....the way it's looking this year with projects,I might get to do a few days of deer/hog hunting.But I doubt I get to go much this year. |

ha bunch of grunts........ 2004 to 08 USMC 2nd Marine Division 10th Marine Regiment Artillery baby KINGS OF WAR!!!! Finally gettin a chance to hunt this year havent been able to the past few because of deployments to Iraq and not being able to be in ga during the season. |

I was a Crew Chief on a KC-135R air refueler at Warner Robbins,AFB in Ga.I was active from July 85-May 88. and then Joined the Pa. Army National Gaurd where I was Tow Missle Gunner For the Combat Support Company of the 102 Infantry Division. From Feb 89-Sept.04 |

My Dad was a WW II Vet and was on "Omaha Beach" and "Battle of the Bulge"....He hardly ever talked about either battles..............His whole tour was in Europe. |

You will have a tough three months in "boot",but in the end you will be and feel proud!!! Good luck young man.................
