Microsoft Image Resizer is a handy little tool, avalable for free from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...ySetup.exe
(You may have to copy and paste the above link into your browser)
Once installed, you will not notice anything until you right click an image. You choose the option Resize Pictures. Once clicked you get a dialog box with options to choose from. Advanced options allow you to resize without saving the original pic. With Microsoft Image Resizer there is no guessing, for there is an option for a small 640 x 480 pic.
Many of us have noticed that some pics posted are bigger than the allowed sizing of 640 x 480. Members cannot edit their own posts so if I see a pic much bigger I may do the sizing down myself and repost the smaller pic.
On the old site this was suggested by a member of the volunteer Administration team. I hope by adding this here it is helpful to members. |

Well you can size a pic before you upload it to Photobucket. I find it very easy. I use this application all of the time. Many are not familiar with Photobucket and or much about using computers. I thought this might help some on here.

For those of you that use dial-up, this will allow you to upload photos to your photobucket acct.(or whichever online image host you use) much faster by resizing the photo before you upload. Smaller file = faster file transfer. Thanks for posting the helpful tool Melsue ! |

Your welcome. Zero is the one who originally posted this on the old site. And you said it perfectly.... use this before photobucket and it makes it a lot faster. |
