This past November (2009), I took this nice 8pt buck on my land in Hallsville, TX. It is very very rare. The biologist called it a 'melanistic' deer. It's totally opposite from an albino. It is a whitetail buck...but it is solid black/dark-dark brown. No white on it except for underneath the tail. The biologist said that all melanistic deer have this white underneath the tail. Its not a monster by no means...but its 1 in a million and very beautiful. I hope to get it back from the taxidermist soon.I posted a pic in the "trophy gallery'. send me your email address and I will send u pics. Thanks
