• A lucky few of us have chanced to see a white whitetail — the albino deer — in wild. But, perhaps no one has spent as much time following these white ghosts as photographer Jeff Richert. He’s hunted deer with his camera on lands where, by some fluke of nature, white deer are concentrated. Award-winning outdoor writer John Bates weighs in with his impressions.
