Iowa youth deer season begins Sept. 16

Hunting tradition will be renewed when nearly 10,000 youths are expected to participate in the youth deer hunting season which opens Sept. 16.
This season provides an opportunity to teach deer hunting, wildlife behavior, and safe hunting practices to resident youths while they are under the watchful eye of a licensed adult.

Landowners seeking doe hunters

Game, Fish and Parks has documented the first deer mortalities of 2017 due to epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) or blue tongue.

Lower Peninsula HAP landowner enrollment now open

Moose hunt auction nets $30,761 for wildlife education

When Vermont’s annual auction of five moose hunting permits closed August 10, a total of $30,761.50 was taken in from the five winning bids.
