Deer, squirrel, turkey, quail, rabbit—all hunt-able species in Georgia. But, do you know how to hunt them?

Georgia Hunt and Learn programs provide an educational experience targeted to those with little to no hunting experience. The programs provide exceptional instruction from qualified teachers, and offer workshops for both adults and youth.

Participants will discover everything from the basics to learning how to care for harvested game. The weekend additionally provides guided hunt opportunities.

Hunt & Learn: One to three-day Hunt and Learn programs educate participants about hunting and conservation, along with an opportunity to hunt a specific game animal. Participants can learn hunting tactics, game identification, and hear about hunter safety from experts.

The Hunt and Learn courses are geared toward the new hunter who wants a safe and educational learning environment. Both youth and adult programs are available to accommodate a wide range of ages.

Half-Day 101 Courses: Half-day 101 classes that have educational and live fire components focus on a specific game animal.

Wildlife Resources Division also will continue its series of programs focusing on the development of hunting skills and conservation knowledge. This year’s hunts will include deer, squirrel, quail, rabbit and turkey.
