Team Easton Sweeps Gold at Indoor World Championships

Yankton, South Dakota - Following their gold medal haul at the Indoor World Cup final in Las Vegas, Team Easton made their way to the 2018 Indoor World Archery Championships hoping to continue the streak. In the premier categories, Team Easton won 10 of 12 medals, sweeping the podiums in the Men’s Compound, Men’s Recurve and Women’s Recurve divisions. Mike Schloesser (Netherlands) won his second World Championship, topping 2014 Winner Sergio Pagni (Italy) in the gold medal final of men’s compound. Jesse Broadwater (USA) shot a perfect 150 to claim bronze. Schloesser and Broadwater each used Easton X23 aluminum arrows, while Pagni opted for the ultra-lightweight SuperDrive 23 carbon. Rounding out the Women’s Compound competition, Turkey’s Yesim Bostan, finishing second with Easton X23.

In the Men’s Recurve division, Sjef van den Berg (Netherlands) claimed his first ever World Championship, winning over Daisuke Tomatsu of Japan. Australia’s Taylor Worth claimed bronze. Van den Berg and Worth each used Easton aluminum arrows, and Tomatsu used the aluminum/carbon X10.

X10 shooters swept the recurve women’s podium with Germany’s Elena Richter taking gold over 2014 Champion Aida Roman (Mexico). Audrey Adiceom of France finished on the bronze step.
