Hunters check 22,366 deer on firearms opening day

Hunters checked 22,366 white-tailed deer Nov. 28, opening day of Ohio’s deer-gun hunting season.

Deer gun season remains open through Dec. 3. Two additional days of deer-gun season, Dec. 16 and 17, have been added to increase the opportunity for people to hunt with firearms.
