Louisiana youth lottery deer hunt applications

Youth deer hunters who wish to apply for the youth lottery hunts on state wildlife management areas during the 2015-16 season can do so now through Sept. 4.

Applications are being taken for the Buckhorn, Dewey W. Wills, Floy Ward McElroy, Richard K. Yancey and Sherburne Wildlife Management Areas. Additionally the Coastal and Non-Game Resources Division is accepting lottery hunt applications for youth deer hunts on Atchafalaya Delta and Point-Aux-Chenes WMAs.

These special hunts are restricted to youth hunters only, to be selected through the lottery application process.
Applications are also available on the LDWF website at www.wlf.louisiana.gov/hunting/lottery-hunts.

The Wildlife Division WMA youth hunt application is displayed under the DEER category and is to be used for the youth hunts offered on Buckhorn, Dewey W. Wills, Floy Ward McElroy, Richard K. Yancey, and Sherburne WMAs.

The Coastal and Non-Game Resources Division applications are displayed under the DEER – COASTAL WMAs category for Atchafalaya Delta and Point-Aux-Chenes WMAs.

Details on the qualifications, application requirements, and dates of the hunts are listed on the application forms.
