TOPS Amanda Kaye A-Klub

TOPS has teamed up with hunter and TV reality star Amanda Kaye to design a new scouting/trimming tool that makes short work of nasty thickets.

Dubbed the A-Klub, the tool takes many of its influences from Amanda’s Native American interest and heritage.

The forward-sweeping edge widens toward the tip, enabling the A-Klub to chop similar to a Kukuri. At the pommel, the handle widens to provide a sure grip when chopping heavier branches or small trees.

The dangler Kydex sheath allows the knife to move as you walk, making it less likely to get caught in heavy brush. It’s held securely in place with a beta loop.

“As a child, my family was active in the reenactment community, especially with my parents’ Indian heritage,” Amanda said. “Living off the land is not something I do, it’s who I am. As a hunter, I wanted something that was practical to use in a survival situation, but also a tool that would shine when putting out treestands or trimming shooting lanes.”

The A-Klub is the first TOPS knife designed by a female, but there’s nothing lady-like about this tool, which functions even better than its bad-to-the-bone looks.

“The design is based on the Native American gunstock war club, which helps focus energy,” Amanda said. “Survival isn’t a two- or three-day thing, and your tools need to stay sharp and perform with a minimum of effort. The same is true when you’re preparing a stand site for hunting.”
